The group is for ‘improvers’ and everyone is welcome: we are a very small group and in some instances have had to cancel through lack of support: please do join us. Usually we start with supervised bidding of prepared hands constructed to illustrate a particular topic i.e. responses to INT opening, then play them (again supervised) most people having already forgotten the details, but hopefully remembered the principles! That said the group is what the members want it to be, so any ideas are welcome. Other points are that standard Acol is played; bridge etiquette is part of the game; and the house is non-smoking. Meetings are held from 2.30 – 4.30 pm on the third Thursday of each month in the West Hill area.
