The group will be introduced to the ‘Western Tradition’, which is the philosophy studied in western Europe.

We aim to take it slowly, which will suit  somebody with no prior knowledge of philosophy, as well as somebody who would like to learn more.

The group will meet once a month to discuss different aspects of western philosophy, Including the early history of philosophy, as well as the contributions made by famous philosophers; the problems of philosophy, for example  the nature of reality; the Ancient Greeks; Descartes and his famous ‘Cogito ergo sum’ (‘I think therefore I am’).
