The Science/Astronomy group covers all science and technology subjects. We have inquisitive minds and want to help each other understand the latest developments, from space exploration to non-stick frying pans. Some members volunteer to find out about a subject and give a brief talk. Often there is a general discussion and some Q&A. Some members have expertise from their careers or hobbies, that enable the rest of us to understand new discoveries, how something works or what impact it might have on our daily life.

We’d love you to participate, but if you just want to drop in and listen, you are more than welcome. We use zoom meetings as it enables us to see, hear and view images, videos etc. (updated January 2024)

The group will meet (via Zoom) on the last Monday of each month at 14:30 - 16:00. The Zoom details will be sent out a day before we meet to everyone.
